Drive On Time Driving School is having a great year. Our programs have exceeded 2000 students per year. To celebrate this milestone in our company's history, Drive On Time Driving School is beginning a drivers ed. scholarship program. We plan to make available scholarship awards totaling nearly $10,000.00/yr. and base the award on both financial need and academic progress. The number of awards given to each school will be based on high school total enrollment. I plan to provide PTA's with Scholarship Award Certificates that would enable the PTA to select a student to receive the award, assign the award to the selected student and the student can bring the certificate to any of our 4 locations to serve as partial payment for drivers ed tuition. The student would be responsible to pay a nominal $50 fee simply to ensure that all parties have some skin in the game.

Schools or PTA's may enroll in the program by filling out the required forms that can be acquired by calling our office 11:30-5:30 Mon-Fri 443-944-5288.

LOCAL DRIVING SCHOOL PARTNERS WITH HIGH SCHOOL TO OFFER DRIVER'S ED. SCHOLARSHIPS

12 Pocomoke High School Students Receive Full or Partial Scholarships

Pocomoke, MD, February 16- Staff at Pocomke High School in collaboration with a local driving school have been working together to provide free or reduced price driving school for Worcester County Students. Drive On Time Driving School has been teaching driver's ed at Pocomoke High School since October 2016. Drive On Time Driving School has also been offering scholarships each year to students who attend Pocomoke High School. The high school after school program has joined this effort to reduce the cost of driver's ed. for students who fill out a scholarship application. Since October 2016, dozens of Pocomoke high school students have received driver's ed. for a nominal fee of $50 to $100.

Driver's ed. is a requirement in Maryland for persons of any age who want to get a driver's license. Maryland law requires a 30 hour classroom course and 6 hours behind the wheel training at a licensed and MVA certified driving school. The 6 hours of behind the wheel training must occur one on one with an MVA certified instructor who must undergo MVA approved training and criminal background check to become certified.

Drive On Time Driving School has been in operation on Delmarva since 2008 and has 4 branch sites: Salisbury, Berlin, Princess Anne and Pocomoke High School. Drive On Time Driving School is owned and operated by John Wright who has committed to providing up to $10,000 per year in scholarships to Delmarva youth at high schools which are interested in allowing the driving school to assist students in this way.

Drive On Time Driving School is a driving school in Maryland licensed and certified by the MVA. They offer new driver training as well as instructor training and remedial training.
